For sale is a mint condition 2022 Fender Traditional 60s Jaguar. This model, originally made exclusively for the Japanese vendor Ishibashi as a Factory Special Run (FSR), features a gloss Black finish, anodized gold pickguard, black plastics, medium jumbo fretwire, and a Buzz Stop. It was sourced brand new from Tokyo and comes with the original box and gigbag.
The Traditional 60s Jaguar is a reinvention of Fender Japan's Jaguar platform, incorporating Fender's V-Mod pickups, USA-made CTS pots, Switchcraft switches, and USA Fender plastic parts. The gray bobbin single-coil pickups offer a hotter wind and a flat pole piece design, resulting in a midrange emphasis while retaining twang and snap in the top end. The guitar delivers a balanced, sweet sound with great clarity for strummed passages and sparkling lead lines. The Rhythm Circuit provides darker, meatier tones, while the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit offers thinner tic-tac sounds.
The maple neck has a substantial U-shaped profile with round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges. The rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius, pearl dot inlays, and medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays smoothly up the 24" scale, and the Gotoh Kluson-style tuning machines on the headstock provide reliable tuning stability.
The electronics include individual on/off switches for each pickup in the Lead Circuit, along with a bass cut (or "strangle switch") toggle and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The Rhythm Circuit has its own Volume and Tone controls, as well as a toggle switch that engages a darker tone cap exclusively for the neck pickup. The vibrato unit is responsive, and the Buzz Stop increases tension and stability (removable if desired). The chrome-plated hardware, gold anodized aluminum pickguard, and plastic parts are flawless.
This rare Jaguar guitar is in showroom clean condition, with minimal scratches. The gigbag branded by Fender is included.
